You probably already know the story...<br>

I have recently got a Mustek BearPaw 4800 TA Pro scanner and there is
no driver (yet) for SANE.<br>
<br>
So, I did a little investigation and know a little about chips in this
scanner (from internet): <br>
ALI M5623 (USB 2.0 scanner bridge) - 2 pages PDF<br>
Analog Devices AD9826 (A/D converter) - 20 pages PDF<br>
NEC uPD8880 (CCD) - 24 pages PDF<br>
So, for the most important part, least information...<br>

Also did some very basic testing on W$ with original software (only
have had USB 1.1). Not very good (certainly under my expectations) in
performance in scan quality.<br>
<br>
I'm willing to spend some time in next few months on making or helping
with driver development and/or testing if there is a good chance to get
proper result.<br>
<br>
Does anybody has this (or similar, if there is one) scanner?<br>
<br>
Has anybody tried to contact Mustek about technical documentation and
tried to get help from?<br>
<br>
What about ALI Corporation?<br>
