    <p>you are right. I had to do 2 things:</p>
    <p>1. Uncomment in /etc/sane.d/gt68xx.conf:<br>
      # Mustek ScanExpress 1200 UB Plus:<br>
      override "mustek-scanexpress-1200-ub-plus"<br>
      2. Get SBfw.usb (instead PS1fw.usb) from here:<br>

    <p>With scanimage and Simple Scan the scanner works fine, but XSane
      crashes always, after the scan has completed.<br>

            Perfection 1670 I had to copy the firmware file off the CD
            that came with it and drop it in the proper place.</div>
