<p>Hi Thierry,</p>
<p>I now again had access to the computer of my friend.</p>
<p>> sudo echo 'brother3' >> /etc/sane.d/dll.conf<br>
Now I see, that this has already been done. I missed it first,
because 'brother3' was at the end of the file and not sorted
alphabetically.</p>
<p>So now I still have the question, where I can find the ip or the
nodename for the brsaneconfig3 command.<br>
Where can I find it?</p>
<p>In the mean time I just tried this:<br>
============================================<br>
jannis@MS-7616:~$ sane-find-scanner <br>
<br>
# sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If
the<br>
# result is different from what you expected, first make sure
your<br>
# scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer.<br>
<br>
# No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different,
make sure that<br>
# you have loaded a kernel SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter.<br>

<p>What to try next?<br>
How to unregister the probably wrong entry with brsaneconfig3?</p>
