      My HP Scanjet G4050 scanner works fine with xsane for simple

      images on paper, with my Mageia Linux 10 desktop PC.<br>

      But, is it possible to scan diapositives with xsane ?  How could I

      do it ?<br>

      Even I choose Dia, the lamp in the scanner cover never turns on.<br>

      For diapositives, I use my scanner connected to a Windows PC (</font>😳)<font

      size="4">, with the HP software. The </font><font size="4">software

      is really not user-friendly, the </font><font size="4">developers

      surely never used it intensely ...<br>
