darcs is not really network-friendly, and one can easily mess up the
repository if one is not very very careful.  So I'd say either mercurial or
git would be better.  mercurial has good patch queues, and git is extremely
network and disk-friendly.

If it has to be an SVN-like VCS, I'd rather it be svk.  At least svk allows
for offline operation.
