Actually, android-platform-frameworks-base already has NDEBUG enabled,
which also fixed another issue earlier.
Today's fix is for android-system-core, specifically for libutils as
that's where the crash was (and what aapt links against)

I think I could update the build-depedencies if there aren't any code
changes. I did want to do it anyways, got sidetracked a little after
dinner. On it right now.
I say this because we already have quite a few packages pending upload
right now, so it would be best to add only what we actually need. I
partially agree with both of you on this matter.
