I guess you're using lintian backports version.

$ dpkg -l|grep lintian
ii  lintian                                2.115.1~bpo11+1
     all          Debian package checker

After upgrading to the version above, I also got no errors anymore.
But before the upgrading, it outputed the error, same as buildd.
