This gives all the answers :-

$ apt-show-versions -a aptitude
aptitude install ok installed
aptitude 0.6.3-3.2+squeeze1 stable       ftp.debian.org
aptitude          wheezy       ftp.debian.org
aptitude          unstable     ftp.debian.org
aptitude          experimental ftp.debian.org
aptitude/wheezy uptodate

$ apt-show-versions -a libapt-pkg4.12
libapt-pkg4.12 install ok installed
No stable version
libapt-pkg4.12 wheezy   ftp.debian.org
libapt-pkg4.12 unstable ftp.debian.org
libapt-pkg4.12/wheezy uptodate

In short aptitude is at and libapt-pkg4.12 is at
