This gives all the answers :-

$ apt-show-versions -a aptitude
aptitude 0.6.8.1-1 install ok installed
aptitude 0.6.3-3.2+squeeze1 stable       ftp.debian.org
aptitude 0.6.8.1-1          wheezy       ftp.debian.org
aptitude 0.6.8.1-1          unstable     ftp.debian.org
aptitude 0.6.9.1-1          experimental ftp.debian.org
aptitude/wheezy uptodate 0.6.8.1-1

$ apt-show-versions -a libapt-pkg4.12
libapt-pkg4.12 0.9.7.4 install ok installed
No stable version
libapt-pkg4.12 0.9.7.4 wheezy   ftp.debian.org
libapt-pkg4.12 0.9.7.5 unstable ftp.debian.org
libapt-pkg4.12/wheezy uptodate 0.9.7.4

In short aptitude is at 0.6.8.1-1 and libapt-pkg4.12 is at 0.9.7.4
