[Aptitude-devel] Bug#705612: aptitude: /var/log/aptitude does not distinguish between remove and purge

Package: aptitude
Version: 0.6.3-3.2
Severity: minor

After an "aptitude purge ~c", /var/log/aptitude looks as if those
packages were removed (and not just their configurations purged):

Log complete.
---snap---

This is misleading: I wondered quite a while how sysklogd, syslog-ng and
rsyslog (still installed) could be installed at the same time -- until I
found out that those were removed a long time ago and now just their
configurations were finally purged, too. (Hence severity minor instead
of wishlist.)
