Seems to do a search more intelligently but with package names, and
only when the match is close enough:

# aptitude install amanda-c
Couldn't find package "amanda-c". However, the following
packages contain "amanda-c" in their name:
  amanda-client amanda-client:i386 amanda-common amanda-common:i386
Couldn't find package "amanda-c". However, the following
packages contain "amanda-c" in their name:
  amanda-client amanda-client:i386 amanda-common amanda-common:i386
No packages will be installed, upgraded, or removed.
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 62 not upgraded.
Need to get 0 B of archives. After unpacking 0 B will be used.
