Hi,
just wanted to report some progress:
Manuel released aptitude 0.7 end of last week and I worked on the
packaging the past 2 weeks.
It builds fine with gcc5 and libstdc++6. It though doesn't built fine
with Boost 1.58 which entered unstable recently.
The fix for this will be upstream in 0.7.1 as well as in 0.7-1 as
quilt patches.
Since the cwidget library transition yesterday, all build-deps of
aptitude have been rebuild with gcc5 and against libstdc++6.
Unfortunately pbuilder uses aptitude and runs into
https://bugs.debian.org/794594 (which is actually fixed) against
cwidget and aptitude crashes inside an uptodate sid chroot.
You can change pbuilder to not use aptitude, but there is (at least a
documentation) bug in pbuilder which requires an additional option to
actually make it work: https://bugs.debian.org/794669
Bumpy times, not only because of that 3000+ packages transition. :-)
Regards, Axel
