Thanks for making up a nice example which is easier for me to test.

I indeed get the same result. Can also be seen in my view on that
issue:

(I know also know where the latter and already previously present diff
comes from: I have texlive-lang-arabic marked with "forbid-version" in
aptitude due to an RC bug in the most recent version.)
