You seem not to have written to the mailing list listed in the
Maintainer header of the aptitude package. That would have been my
first idea where to ask questions:

$ apt-cache show aptitude | fgrep Maintainer
Maintainer: Aptitude Development Team <aptitude-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org>

I'm not aware of such an option and
https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/aptitude/ch02s05s05.en.html doesn't
list anything in that direction either.

Taking this as feature request then, retitling the bug report and
setting the severity to wishlist.
