[Aptitude-devel] Bug#994749: aptitude dies about minio in a cached Packages file

Package: aptitude
Version: 0.8.11-7

If I add minio Version 20210805220119.0.0 to a private package
repository, then aptitude succeeds on the first run. Press 'u'
to update the Packages file. On the second run aptitude dies
with SIGSEGV. After removing the cached Packages file listing minio &
mcli aptitude works again.

The SIGSEGV happens only for the cached Packages file, AFAICT.

apt doesn't have this problem.

The minio and mcli debian packages can be found on

https://dl.min.io/server/minio/release/linux-amd64/minio_20210805220119.0.0_amd64.deb
https://dl.min.io/client/mc/release/linux-amd64/mcli_20210727064619.0.0_amd64.deb

Minio is on github: https://github.com/minio/minio

Harri
