It would probably be easier to help you if you explained what problem
you are trying to solve.


There is support for babel in wireshark <https://www.wireshark.org/>
which should help you visualize babel packets in a live network. The
specification is of course in the babel RFC
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6126#section-4>.
