What for?  Why do I need to maintain an extra variable?

No objection, but I just use a private shell alias.

Rejected.  There's no need to introduce multiple levels of cleanliness,
either the tree is clean or it isn't.

> - Add full and correct dependencies on internal headers

Rejected.  There's no way I'll be able to maintain that.
