I figured a flag day was out of the question, even though now seems
like a good time.

still, please put new files like hmac.c and dtls.c through whatever
moral equivalent of clang-format you can come up with?

and it would be good for incremental patches in the future to use one
agreed upon format in a style.el, etc.

It was impossible to derive the right thing from that last merge
attempt of mine.
