I can confirm this finally fixes my issue with default ipv4 routes
getting an unusual metric.

add route 7c3ea0 prefix 0.0.0.0/0 from ::ffff:0.0.0.0/0 installed yes id 02:0d:b
9:ff:fe:43:a0:6c metric 97 refmetric 1 via fe80::20d:b9ff:fe43:a06d if eth0

This used to end up with a refmetric WAY higher (440?), only one hop
away from the box.

'course, now I gotta go frantically fix a few other boxes exporting
incorrect default metrics, but... happy. THX
