Actually, it's a little disappointing.

Does anyone have a technical explanation of the Facebook f*ck up?  It
seems difficult to believe that setting an incorrect BGP filter caused
them to lock themselves out of their routers, as the Guardian reported.
I suspect there was a latent flaw in their infrastructure, a feedback
loop waiting to diverge, and it would be interesting to know the details.
