Package: cupt
Version: 2.5.9
Severity: minor
Dear Maintainer,
when trying to fix the issue described at
https://wiki.debian.org/Cupt#line-53 with an editor which makes backup
files with a tilde ("~") suffix, cupt tries to parse that backup file:
E: syntax error: line 4, character 1: expected: semicolon (';')
E: unable to parse the config file '//etc/apt/apt.conf.d/00CDMountPoint~'
W: skipped the configuration file '//etc/apt/apt.conf.d/00CDMountPoint~'
apt.conf(5) says under "DIRECTORIES":
The Ignore-Files-Silently list can be used to specify which files
APT should silently ignore while parsing the files in the
fragment directories. Per default a file which end with
.disabled, ~, .bak or .dpkg-[a-z]+ is silently ignored. As seen
in the last default value these patterns can use regular
expression syntax.
I'd expect that cupt uses the same rules here.
