[Debconf-devel] Bug#388679: debconf: GNOME frontend only working when specified from the command line

Funny thing... it seems the frontend must be called 'gnome' rather than 
'GNOME'. However, when selecting the default frontend for debconf, it's 
spelled 'GNOME' which is problematic. In case it's not clear, allow 
me to demonstrate:

The following command works.

vincent at localhost:~$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure -f gnome debconf

The next command is issued when GNOME has been selected as the default 
frontend.

vincent at localhost:~$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure debconf
debconf: kan inte initiera skal: GNOME
debconf: (Can't locate Debconf/FrontEnd/GNOME.pm in @INC (@INC contains: 
/etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8 
/usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 
/usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at (eval 19) line 2.)
debconf: återgår till gränssnitt: Noninteractive

And finally, with GNOME specified as frontend on the command line.

debconf: Please do not capitalize the first letter of the debconf 
frontend.

And that's the same errors and warnings, when GNOME is specified from 
the command line.
