[Debconf-devel] Bug#399215: probably a misfeature in emacs's shell

In the readline frontend, debconf always displays choices first, and
only then prompts for input. If emacs choses to for some reason display
the prompt first, that seems like it would be a bug in emacs.

It's a bit difficult to know for sure, since you don't provide any details
about what version of emacs you're using, what perl readline modules you have
installed, etc. Also, I can't really fathom why you'd want to use the readline
frontend inside emacs; the teletype frontend seems better suited to it.
