Package: debconf
Version: 1.5.22
Followup-For: Bug #495217

Hello,

In addition to the previous patch that is already attached to the bug report
(and yet has to be added to debconf package), here's another one that improves
the LDAP driver behavior when keybykey option is enabled.

(The patch should be applied on top of the one already attached to the
bug report).

The patch changes behavior of exists() function in such a way that, when
keybykey is active, it tries to load the key from the server if it does not
exist in the cache. If keybykey is disabled, behavior is the same as usual.

This is a quite important patch for keybykey -- without it, and depending on
how the key is accessed, some questions end up using the default value instead
of the one actually set in LDAP.

Regards,
