Thanks.  At some point it would be nice to find a way to force the
choice texts to be unambiguous without overflow, e.g. by prepending or
appending a number.  But this works as far as it goes and fixes an IMO
serious bug, so I've just tidied up the indentation in your patch and
added a changelog entry, and will otherwise push it as is.
