Hi Ole,
With the upload of version 3.2.3+dfsg-1 of cpl-plugin-vimos, the
autopkgtest¹ (both in unstable as in testing) started to fail with the
error copied below.
I am filing this bug at severity normal, however, the error "double free
or corruption" looks ugly. If this isn't a corner case you are testing
here, maybe you want to raise the severity.

Recipe vmifucombine:
version 3.2.3
Parameters: {}
Docstring: Combine partial IFU field-of-views reconstructed by
vmifuscience from
different quadrants.
This recipe is used to compose into a single image the reconstructed
images of the IFU field-of-view from different VIMOS quadrants. Such
images are created by the recipes vmifuscience and vmifustandard. The
input images must belong to different quadrants, so that they cannot
be more than 4. The images are simply summed together: in fact, all
field-of-view images are always 80x80 pixels, with only the sector
corresponding to one quadrant having intensities that differ from
zero. For more details, please refer to the VIMOS Pipeline User's
Guide.
