Just FYI, you can get the debug symbols for a Debian package by adding
the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

http://debug.mirrors.debian.org/debian-debug/ stretch-debug main

and after an "apt update" do a "apt install dcraw-dbgsym"

Maybe you could provide the stacktrace then?
