== Activating translations and regional support ==

To activate a specific translation, boot using {{{locale=ll_CC.UTF-8}}} as a boot option, where ll_CC.UTF-8 is the locale name you want.  To activate a given keyboard layout, use the {{{keyb=KB}}} option where KB is the desired keyboard layout. Here is a list of commonly used locale codes:

A complete list of locale codes is available in {{{/usr/share/i18n/SUPPORTED}}}, but only the UTF-8 locales are supported by the live images.
Not all locales have translations installed, though.  The keyboard layout names can be found in /usr/share/keymaps/i386/.
