hi,

might also be that shorewall isn't the real issue. i observed some
more startup errors/hangs when shorewall was started.

i now also added syslog to the required services and am doing some more
testing:


-# Required-Start:    $network $remote_fs
-# Required-Stop:     $network $remote_fs
+# Required-Start:    $network $remote_fs $shorewall $syslog
+# Required-Stop:     $network $remote_fs $shorewall $syslog

any thoughts?
