We can do that, I'm butchering up the pacemaker package anyway.

(And the pacemaker package is not multi-arch for that reason.)

I'm mildly surprised.  What do those shells do in /usr/lib/()/pacemaker?
Those sub-executables are hardly part of the external interface...  At
least I've never thought they could be.
