[Debian-ha-maintainers] DRBD user space and kernel module version mismatch

Hi,

A while back I ran into this issue:
https://lists.linbit.com/pipermail/drbd-user/2020-August/025668.html

It seems that this mismatch of versions is still present in Debian 11. Is
there a reason for this? Is there a way to use DRBD 9 for both user space
and kernel module? I don't see a way to set up the DRBD connection mesh
under Debian 10 or 11 because of this version mismatch.

I can use the older stacking solutions. But I was hoping this version
mismatch was just the result of a Debian 10 stable freeze date quick fix.
But it seems now that it's deliberate since Debian 11 inherited this
version mismatch. I hope you can provide me with some more insight into
this deliberate mismatch setup.

On Debian 11:
# drbdadm --version
DRBDADM_BUILDTAG=GIT-hash:\ baaca8a080dc54652f57da4bafb2dce51dfe9f68\
reproducible\ build\,\ 2020-09-29\ 09:05:36
DRBDADM_API_VERSION=1
DRBD_KERNEL_VERSION_CODE=0x08040b
DRBDADM_VERSION_CODE=0x090f00
DRBDADM_VERSION=9.15.0
root at debian:/etc/drbd.d# drbdadm --version
DRBDADM_BUILDTAG=GIT-hash:\ baaca8a080dc54652f57da4bafb2dce51dfe9f68\
reproducible\ build\,\ 2020-09-29\ 09:05:36
DRBDADM_API_VERSION=1

*DRBD_KERNEL_VERSION_CODE=0x08040bDRBDADM_VERSION_CODE=0x090f00*
DRBDADM_VERSION=9.15.0
