Not sure what you mean by active, but Debian contains the latest
upstream version of ocfs2-tools and Debian kernel package contains
the OCFS2 filesystem, so you can try to test it for your usecase.

Anoter similar alternative you can test is gfs2-utils and GFS2 module
also included in the Debian kernel package. I believe Ceph Packaging
Team also maintains the latest version of ceph distributed storage and
file system.
