[Debian-in-workers] Indic Input methods in Debian

Hello,
While working on GRIND, we came across a small problem: we couldn't find
any appropriate input methods for Indic scripts. Is there any package
that provides X/Gtk/other input methods in Debian. I'm not very
knowledgeable, but I'm assuming that I'd need to have an input method
installed in order to type in Indic scripts.
