Yes, probably but there are a lot of such opportunities that too much
precedents have to be carefully limited, which I understand.

I may talk to sam, however, about this project. Pushing for a mider
use of Debian in India and South Asia is certainly something that's
worth it for the project. We all see the huge efforts made by the big
FLOSS lobbies (RedHat, Canonical....) to secure the Indian "market"
for themselves that we really have to make big efforts to keep the
idea in place that local Linux initiatives can be based on a
completely volunteer and free project.

I indeed have in mind to propose to the people from Bhutan's DIT
(those who build DzongkhaLinux) and people from Nepalinux to try
attending Foss.in as well. That could be something interesting to base
a Debian Day on, including of course all Debian-based initiatives in India.

I'll probably talk about all this in details when back from
holidays. I'll soon leave for two weeks without knowing if I'll have
net connectivity or not (contrary to many Debian friends, I use any
net connectivity opportunity even when on holidays..:-)).

That will leave me time for thinking about what kind of paper I could
propose to Foss.in (certainly around localization but has to be
general enough to also show the great care taken in Debian to
encourage localization work and building of local derived distros).
