I've prepared a new package to fix this ftbfs using to the patch 
mentioned in https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/issues/2613

Upstream they don't seem sure this would fix the problem but a quick 
look at the code shows something's not right (if a variable is NULL then 
doing something with that variable)

Any comment or objection if I push the new package?

Note: I use openzwave myself, so if it's removed from testing, I will be 
sad...
