Thank you.

Understanding of GBP is the only missing thing for me :)
When reading the git log, I see, for each version, the commit for the
changelog E.G. "    debian/changelog: Upload to sid", then there is a
commit, with no modification "    Import Debian changes 2.0.18-1" with
the changes of the version.

When running gbp dch --bpo --commit I have nothing same as I observe,
same with gbp tag after commiting the changelog.

I have read the gbp manual a couple of time without success and the bad
feeling I understand less each time I read again ;)

Until now I have used nothing comparable for purple-discord, it could be
more than helpful for me to have some guidance about the process used in
IOT Team because even after lot of search it looks GBP is the way to
package for I find less results.

I have succeeded in compiling on Debian stable, so technically I can
have a backport. But not using workflow you all use, which is not good IMHO.

Other question, even if I am very fare from this step, if one day I
succeed in having the backported package using the right way, how is it
better to process?
Using mentors and asking for a sponsor by adding this list in CC?

Best regards,
