Source: mbedtls
Version: 3.6.0-2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
while trying to build privoxy with mbedtls 3.6 (see #1075870), I just
applied a first patch for privoxy to support the new mbedtls version.
With 3.6.0-2 the patch compiled, but the code did not work as
expected.
Then I noticed that upstream uses BSD with mbedtls 3.6.1 and so I
noticed that in the meantime mbedtls 3.6.1 is available, while
debian/watch does not notice the new version (didn't dive deeper
here).
I manually downloaded mbedtls-3.6.1 and did some symbols hacking (I'm
not familiar with packaging shlibs), but the hack was good enough to
compile privoxy against it and with this version privoxy worked as
expected.
It would be nice if you could package 3.6.1 for Debian and maybe fix
debian/watch to notice the new version.
Greetings
Roland
