It would help *a*lot* for consistency among translations, allowing to
propose translations for parts that already exist (e.g. binary packages
from the same source often get identical parts, and they are not always
translated the same way), either via the use of a local compendium, or
even better, one included in the DDTSS host…

It would allow to use already known and efficient tools for translators.

It would also allow to use the same workflow for translation and review
that is already in place for debconf, program and documentation.

It would made some of us happy (yes that count too ;-).
