Good catch. I am using gnome-shell with Xorg, and I could only reproduce it
with some icon theme choices, such as "Breeze" or "Papirus".

I did some debugging, and seems that the reason is that these icon themes
did not provide "text-x-generic.png", but "text-x-generic.svg" instead. When
using the Papirus icon theme, after performing the following action, the
error would be gone:


sudo cp /usr/share/icons/Adwaita/16x16/mimetypes/text-x-generic.png
/usr/share/icons/Papirus/16x16/mimetypes/text-x-generic.png
sudo update-icon-caches /usr/share/icons/Papirus


I am not sure whether it is a regression from wxwidgets3.2 or the icon theme
yet.
