Sounds like a good check.
In principle I wonder whether you really need a Debian package (which
I personally prefer = package what you are using) or whether you rather
use code from Git.
I mainly care about packages that are *locking* like bit rotting. So
if you could do me some favour some upload would be nice. If you think
it does not much sense we might also consider removal.
