Not really, we are just opening a git repository for experimenting purposes.

This said, our repository becomes more and more impracticable. Each time I
upload an update of emboss, for instance, its checkout size increases by 3 Mb.
I have started to use massively debcheckout instead of checking out our whole
repository. But if everybody else does this, there is no advantage anymore to
have all our packages in Subversion…

Therefore, I asked the Alioth admins to open a git repository so that we can
start to play around with them, and at later migrate monsters like emboss if
all the uploaders agree so. But I do not think we would even have the manpower
to make a total migration of all the packages, not to mention the consensus.

Have a nice day,
