+===================
+
+The DendroPy test suite could make use of the non-free software PAUP.
+While the test suite checks first whether PAUP is installed and
+ignores the tests otherwise it might make sense if the user installs
+PAUP manually to profit from the full functionality.
+
+BTW, there are rumors that PAUP might become Free Software.  Feel free
+to ping the Debian Med team if this has happened to enable us to package
+it as soon as possible.
