Dear Vincent,

I am sorry if anything in my message gave the impression that your help
was not welcome.

Given that in that case the package works better with dash than with
bash, I think that it is not blocking the "Switch to dash" release goal,
so I will downgrade the severity of this bug.

Since the OpenSSH accident, I became reluctant to apply patches unless
it is really necessary. Yours does not have any issue of course, but it
would be one more patch to track, and I think that the lesser the
better.

Steve M. Robbins, who is listed in the Uploaders field, is the lead
maintainer of this package, and of course has the final word. In the
meantime, I will report the issue upstream.

I will not remove the usertag goal-dash myself. But you seem to work on
many of these bugs. If you agree that this bug is not a bashism, maybe
it can help the release team if you remove the tag?

Have a nice day, and thanks for your efforts for the release !
