You did not give that impression. At least, not to me. I'm sorry if
I gave you the impression that you did give that impression. ;-)
|| Given that in that case the package works better with dash than with
|| bash, I think that it is not blocking the "Switch to dash" release goal,
|| so I will downgrade the severity of this bug.
The downgrade seems appropriate because the problem is only cosmetic.
Personally, I'd say downgrade to minor.

Your reluctance is laudable but probably not warranted. The openssh
patch was an order of magnitude more invasive.
|| Steve M. Robbins, who is listed in the Uploaders field, is the lead
|| maintainer of this package, and of course has the final word. In the

That is precisely the proper action I think. Include the proposed patch.
|| I will not remove the usertag goal-dash myself. But you seem to work on
|| many of these bugs. If you agree that this bug is not a bashism, maybe
|| it can help the release team if you remove the tag?
I only took part in the Utrecht BSP <http://wiki.debian.org/BSP2008/Utrecht>,
and focused on some easy stuff.
It *is* a bash/dash problem because there is a difference in behaviour,
so goal-dash should stay.
Ciao. Vincent.
