Hi David,

I wanted to build plink on the MIPS Debian porter box, but could not find vi,
emacs, nano or joe in the sid dchroot to modify the upstream Makefile in order
to pass ‘-v -save-temps’ to g++.

I hope that somebody on the debian-mips mailing list with better knowledge of
GCC and the Debian porting infractructure can help you to get more information
about this bug.

I updated the Debian plink package to use -O2, but it did not circumvent the
bug. Nevertheless, the build logs are also more verbose.

Have a nice day,
