[Debian-med-packaging] Versioning of phyml

Hi,

I realised that Debian package of phyml is versioned according to the
release date but the code contains some kind of versioning:

$ grep VERSION src/utilities.h
#define VERSION "v3.0_176:178M"

The homepage also says PhyML 3.0. On the other hand the download page[1]
also has this date based versioning. I'd regard this a bit unconventional
and I would consider it more transparent to use a 3.0.? versioning scheme.
It is not a really important issue but I stumbled upon this when dealing
with arb which ships a copy of the code containing a string

   #define VERSION "v2.4.5"

and I was wondering about the relation to our phyml Debian package.

Kind regards and thanks for providing phyml

    Andreas.
