Thank you very much for this effort, and sorry for having been a bit harsh.
Since your bug report did not mention your code review, I was under the wrong
impression that no check was made before upload.

I just looked at the upstream CVS, and surprisingly they still hardocode
python-2.5 in the files you patched. Can you forward them your patch?
