Not better:
| ./config.guess: unable to guess system type
|
| This script, last modified 2003-10-03, has failed to recognize
| the operating system you are using. It is advised that you
| download the most up to date version of the config scripts from
|
| ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/config/
|
| If the version you run (./config.guess) is already up to date, please
| send the following data and any information you think might be
| pertinent to <config-patches at gnu.org> in order to provide the needed
| information to handle your system.
|
| config.guess timestamp = 2003-10-03
|
| uname -m = x86_64
| uname -r = 8.1-1-amd64
| uname -s = GNU/kFreeBSD
| uname -v = #0 Wed Oct 19 14:57:54 CEST 2011
|
| /usr/bin/uname -p =
| /bin/uname -X =
|
| hostinfo =
| /bin/universe =
| /usr/bin/arch -k =
| /bin/arch =
| /usr/bin/oslevel =
| /usr/convex/getsysinfo =

There are several problems:
 1. you specified “dh -with” instead of “dh --with”. That one seems to
be harmless though, and dh is picking up the sequence.
 2. the check in configure.in is incorrect:
      $ ./config.guess
      i686-unknown-kfreebsd8.2-gnu
in my previous mail, I meant to give a hint, not a definitive answer..
 3. more importantly, upstream's make clean runs ./configure, and given
2., cleaning fails, along with the whole build.

Next time, I suggest using a GNU/kFreeBSD porter box to make sure your
package builds fine. We have {io,asdfasdf}.debian.net for that.

Replacing 'kfreebsd-*' with '*kfreebsd-*' in kfreebsd.patch fixes 2;
once 3. is fixed, the package should build fine. I'm tagging this bug
report accordingly (making cleaning errors non-fatal might be a way to
work around 3. until you slap your upstream).

Mraw,
KiBi.
