Because you are addressing me directly:  I just issued a de facto
vacation message.  I hope that other members of the team might step in.
I just started this QA effort on those Python packages I did not
uploaded initially and worked down about half of the list of mgltools-*
packages.  If nobody else will continue this it needs to wait until end
of May / June.

I think there is nothing against a NMU from your side in case you have
strong motivations to push the Python migration.
