I'm not sure as well - that's the reason why I did not pushed more.  It
just makes more sense than bringing up a frustrating terminal which is
of no use:

Right, other packages do not do it (at least not to my knowledge).  I
also would not really advertise this as solution - I just was asking the
bug reporter if he would accept this as a fix/workaround for his
problem.   I did it for the user menus as some kind of experiment and up
to now I do not have any positive results (which might have different
reasons but is not very inspiring to spend more time on it).
