Hi Charles,

could you please build and try the current packaging in SVN and do
some tests. With the current packaging it reads:

$ /usr/lib/qiime/bin/print_qiime_config.py

System information
==================
         Platform:      linux2
   Python version:      2.7.2+ (default, Nov 30 2011, 19:22:03)  [GCC 4.6.2]
Python executable:      /usr/bin/python

Dependency versions
===================
                     PyCogent version:  1.5.1
                        NumPy version:  1.5.1
                   matplotlib version:  1.1.1rc
                QIIME library version:  1.4.0
                 QIIME script version:  1.4.0
        PyNAST version (if installed):  1.1
RDP Classifier version (if installed): Not installed.

QIIME config values
===================
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/qiime/bin/print_qiime_config.py", line 642, in <module>
    main()
  File "/usr/lib/qiime/bin/print_qiime_config.py", line 631, in main
    max_len =  max([len(key) for key in qiime_config])
ValueError: max() arg is an empty sequence

which is a bit better but has obvious issues as well. I have no idea
how critical this might be but perhaps other things might work
sufficiently.

Kind regards

        Andreas.
